Flexible, Humble, and Prepared
Watch and listen to my retelling of an event that happened to me and what I learned.
David’s end of life. 1 Kings 1:5-52
Adonijah decided to be king even though David had
promised Solomon the throne.
Job 1:20-22 The Lord gives and the Lord takes away.
Blessed is the name of the Lord.
Abraham willingly left Er to go wherever the Lord led
him. Later, when he was an old man, the Lord asked him to give the Lord his son,
Isaac. He willingly opened his hand.
Paul sitting in prison at the end of his life: 2
Timothy 4:6 Where he recognizes the end of his life saying, “The time of my death
is near. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, and I have
remained faithful.”
Are you willing to accept the changes of your life?
They will come. You may need to change your diet because of a disease or other health
concerns. You may fall into financial disaster. Your life may be altered because
your house and community were hit by a hurricane. You or your loved one needs hospice.
Or when the time comes when it’s not safe for you to be behind the wheel. Are you humble enough to hand over the keys? Have you made mental, emotional, and physical decisions to help with those transitions?
A lot to think about here!
